Yoga & breath – for your health and balance

I am Louise Timm and I have been teaching yoga in Copenhagen since 2005. To me yoga and movement holds the potential to transform you and your wellbeing. Moving, breathing, and doing yoga on a regular basis opens the door for you to find inner balance and inner peace with yourself.

The classes and workshops I teach can be practiced regardless of your flexibility or ability to touch your toes. In my yoga – classes & workshops we are max. 10 students, so that we have time to create a safe space to move and practice together.

In my classes I pay attention to what we show up with. I focus on the needs the body has both physically and mentally and I pay attention to breath and movement. I love teaching a variety of people from all walks of life and I love how ones we get on the mat to move, breathe and yoga your body starts telling you its story, needs and wishes. Together we will explore, laugh, move, challenge ourselves, rest and share time together as a group and community. We provide yogamats, blankets and props.

What I offer

psoas yoga flow

Is a yoga class that offers deep nourishing, and movements and explorations that grounds you and your senses. The class will combine breath awareness and a juicy flow where your body will be supported and feel supported throughout. It is a yoga class which invites you to feel in touch of what you want and how you are. There is no need to have a knowledge of yoga to participate.

Yoga for men

Is a yoga class which focus on balance, strength, core, breath awareness and flexibility in hips and pelvis.

This is a class that will leave you with a feeling of more energy, a balance in your mind and body and a deeper awareness on your breath and its ability to promote health and relaxation.

There is no need to have experience with yoga.

You can book a yoga class for your employees, creating work life balance at work, with yoga asanas, movements and explorations.

The focus is breath awareness, juicy flow of yoga postures, promoting less stress and getting grounded together with your colleagues.  There is no need for having had experience with yoga, I will tailor the classes to your needs.

Saturday the 30 of December at 10:00 – 12:00 I invite you to come and move, do yoga, get inspired to what you want to leave behind and what you would like to make come true in 2024.  Bring you favorit notebook and pen and wear your favorite yogagear and come join me for a day of movement, laughter and new beginnings. Peri -menopause, transitions and menopause – A workshop of deep knowledge, female wisdom and a way through what might feel fogy and chaotic.

Saturday the 13 of January 2024 at 10:00 – 16:00 I invite you to join me to get much wiser on your female body, why your changes are also good and needed and how you can manage all that you go through in a supportive way .

Pregnancy yoga

These yoga classes are yoga classes where there will be full awareness on you, your baby and your body.

The class will focus on how to move and use yoga postures, during your pregnancy and how these yoga asanas is to your benefit while you are pregnant.

Each week I will focus on getting you to feel in touch with your breath, your strength, your body and what you can do safely while pregnant. It is my wish that you throughout the course find a deep wisdom, it is my wish that you bond with your baby and that you with your senses understand that these wise movements can be of help and support during labour and birth.

All are welcome and there is no need to have any experience with yoga.

There will be a focus on your breath, your strength, your body, and what you can do safely when pregnant. We move in a juicy yoga flow.

Yoga for Women

Full awareness on life with a baby. The class will focus on your core, balance, stability in joints, strength and a regaining of your breath and regaining of your awareness of your body, pelvis, hips and back.  Baby is with you when we do yoga. You are welcome when baby is 7 weeks old.

rebozo treatmentA treatment, with a rebozo – scarf, which is gently wrapped around your body to nourish you, your baby and your pregnant body. We spend a little time to talk, to tune into your baby and what you need to have support with.

This is a treatment that focuses on grounding and restoring your balance in your pelvis, hips and legs. This is also a treatment that gives you time to relax, to turn off your head and your thoughts and to have a moment of pure joy.

When your body feels balanced, your baby feels your balance and your pleasure of being in your body. Make the two of you feeling connected and cared for.

The treatment leaves you with a sense of more space; both in your diaghram, so that when you inhale and exhale your breath your baby feels like he/she has more room in your womb to move and to be.

During the treatment I use my knowledge and expertise of working and teaching pregnant women yoga and movement for the last 12 years.

I also use my wisdom and knowledge of attending both homebirth and birth at hospitals.

I make use of my www.spinningbabies.com knowledge which includes the Three sisters of balance and Spinningbabies guidelines of optimal position for baby.

I have together with copenhagendoulas be part of taking initiative to get the method of Spinningbabies into hospitals in Sjælland.

This treatment is pure nourishment for your body, your nervous system and for the body´s deep need to have a pause and be held.

In on our daily life, we often spend time providing for others, carrying for others and in order to care we too need to be held and cared for, this is what Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Treatment also offers.

Perhaps you feel that lately you have been a little too busy, this means that you might on / off have:

Headaches, pain in neck, shoulder and spine. A sense of restlessness and perhaps problems sleeping. Like the mind never quiets.
